Rescue Program Functions

As with all volunteer programs, rescue functions best when driven by the axiom that "many hands make light work". One of the best ways to enlist help with a rescue program is to have clearly defined roles and responsibilities so that no one feels they are shouldering an unnecessary amount of work. Preventing burnout among good rescue volunteers should be a primary goal of all rescue program coordinators. The program presented here has been developed by SENC, and this division of tasks works well for their group. You are encouraged to download this information and adapt it to best suit the needs of your individual rescue program, based on geography and census. All forms are presented in downloadable PDF format. These forms have been provided for NCA use online by the Southeastern Newfoundland Club.
